 Rain Rain Go Away...

It's been pouring all night & is supposed to continue all day today. We could get about 2 inches today. We're even up for some severe weather by early afternoon. I bad weather! We've had so many close calls with tornados, etc.

This is the kind of day when you want to stay home, curl up under a blanket on the couch with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate, & watch movies all day - or .

The work day is long because it's so dark & dreary out & people just don't really want to get out in this crap. Me included...

At least it's "hump day" (Wednesday/middle of week) & closer to the weekend!

We have church tonight. Tomorrow we have 2 basketball games, & then he has one Friday night. My mother will also be with me Friday/Saturday. The next several days will be busy & hectic!

Anywho, I hope you all have a great day!!

Today is the day the Lord hath made. Rejoice & be glad in it".

 Basketball season has started

Our first games are tonight. My daughter's starts at 5:30 & my son's when hers is over. We have to be there at 5:00. So...I now begin my sprints home from work to pick up kiddos & race to whatever court we'll be playing that night. Luckily, this weeks games are home games & not far from the house.

This is my son's first year to play Jr Varsity BBall. She played last year.

I can't wait to watch them dribble down the court...set up...SHOOT...SCORE!!! Yeah!!

Now my different sports seasons for the 3 kiddos are running together (& over-lapping!) - & are a year-long thing.
*whew* I'm already tired thinking about it, but I'm excited!

Have a great week!!

Happy Friday & Happy Veterans Day!

I'm SO glad it's finally Friday. Bossman surprised us & said we can close at 2:00 today (for Veteran's Day). YEAH!! I'm thinking about going home & trying to take a nap. Maybe some of my stress might be relieved & my brain will stop racing for a bit. I need peace. I need quiet. I need sleep (real sleep). I need....

I'll be back here at work tomorrow trying (yep, on Saturday) to finish up on my PowerPoint presentation for the cheerleader's parents. I'm making a slide show of all the pictures taken over the football season. This is my first time to do anything on PP, so I'm learning as I go. It's quite fun too! I've got great ideas for it, including music. I just hope it turns out just like I'm wanting it to.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Anger: Don't Let It Throw You!

What do you do with your anger? What is your philosophy or theory of anger control? How do you handle the powerful emotion of rage? We all experience it on occasion and in some form. We're all put to the test. How we deal with anger becomes critical. Things happen: We suffer a slight, we meet an injustice, we encounter a setback, life deals us a cruel, unmerciful blow - then anger erupts. It may come as a "slow burn" or as "spontaneous combustion." We experience tightness, a stiffening within. We get "hot under the collar," and anger takes over. I can really do us in if we let it. It can defeat our efforts and fine intentions to get it together. People have actually lost control of their lives because of unbridled anger. What then do we do? How do we deal with it?

Proverbs 16:32: "He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city."

"Anger is momentary madness, so control your passion or it will control you."

Anger is potentialy devastating and destructive. It is a force, a power, which literally destroys lives. Life a volcanic eruption, seething and surging from the bowels of the earth, it suddenly explodes and sends a torrent of hot, molten mass down the landscape of life, incinerating everything in its path. It can wipe us out.

But have you noticed that even though anger is destructive, it has become something of an epidemic in our time? It's so widespread that most people at one time or another seem to be angry about something or at someone. Worse than that, anger is often justified and glorified, so thought to be angry were some sort of virtue. The pervalence of anger accounts for many destructive acts and activities going on throughout the world now. The violence it fosters threatens to engulf us and tear us apart: It destroys homes; it destroys society; it destroys lives. It's like a monster set loose on the contemporary scene and takes on the character of the demonic. Paul noted this character of anger when he wrote: "Do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil" (Ephesians 4:26,27).

...to be continued...

 "The Sperm Donor" A$$hole!!!

(further referred to as SD)

My little Lulu hasn't seen or spoken to her SD since he brought her home Labor Day & made the comment to her that he "didn't know when he'll see here again cuz mommy probably won't let me see you for awhile". That came because I was supposed to get her Sunday night & he wouldn't bring her home, & called the police so I wouldn't come on his property to get her.

Anyway, her Aunt took her to the movie Saturday. Lo & behold, he was there with his young wifey, step-daughter, & their baby girl. Lulu ran down to see him, hugged him & told him she loved him.

His response? He gave her a "one-armed hug" (per Lulu) & DIDN'T EVEN SPEAK ONE WORD TO HER!! Not hello, no I love you too; nothing at all. The girls hugged her up several times, told her they missed her & loved her - including the wife. What a DICK!!

Now this a$$hole hasn't laid eyes on his daughter in 2 months & does this???!?!?! WTF??? He doesn't deserve to see her. He got all over his wife for calling me. She said he told her that he will NOT call & ask to see her. Well, I say GOOD!! She doesn't need the likes of him in her life. He'll only hurt her more!

I know this upset her. I could tell by the way she was telling me about it. All I could say is "I'm so sorry, baby". She also cried a little last night wondering if/when she'll get to see her 'daddy' again. "Daddy"? He is NO 'daddy' in ANY sense of the word. How about NEVER! Of course, I didn't say that to her.

Please pray for my baby that she'll have peace where he's concerned. I'd now prefer that he no longer be a part of her life. He doesn't seem to care one bit anyway.

His whole family loves her dearly & spoils her with so much love & affection. She also considers "Randy" to be her "daddy".
