 What a weekend!!

I got 3 hours of sleep Friday night before I had to be up & have my son at McDonald's to meet his team for pre-tournament breakfast. We all loaded up, ate, & headed for the gym (in the middle of no-where!). T had to be there at 8:00 & B at 8:30 so he was early. Both boys & girls won their games so it was on to the championship round. The girls lost their by about 15 points (they beat themselves with stupid mistakes). Then the boys lost by about 25 (same thing-stupid mistakes).

Then the real the fun began. We stopped to get their cake & cookie-cake, drinks, chips, etc for their birthday party & off the do a quick clean up before everyone arrived.

Normally, I've had the boys one night, all of them all day Saturday, & the girls then for Saturday night, but with the tournament it couldn't be done that way this year. So, I had a co-ed spend-the-night party! Dayum, I'm one brave (or very stupid!) mother!!

Anywho, there were 7 girls & 5 boys (including T & B). Lulu wasn't there (thank God) as I swapped kids with one of the other girl's mother for the night. I had 6 pizzas & chips, etc for them to munch on. They played basketball until nearly 2:00 am! I was surprised after their tournament games all day, but...they love the sport! They'd keep coming in to warm up. I come back through the living room & they're all sitting there watching "When a Stranger Calls. Then what? "Finding Nemo"! After that it was "The Lion King"! Yes, the 12 kiddos ages 13-15 were watching my baby's movies! I was tickled to death. They were exceptionally good. I did have 2 that I caught trying to smooch, but I simply walked up to them & said "SEPARATE". That was it. I had a pre-rule that none of them could be "going out" - or bf/gf. Hey, I'm not THAT stupid!

Yes, I stayed up with them ALL NIGHT. I even had Randy come over to help me...just in case.... I'd go back to my room for a bit here & there, but I'd always come bopping back & camp out in the kitchen at the bar to "supervise" like a good mother/chaperone should.

About 3:30 am, half of them were asleep on the couch, floor, etc. I said "Why don't we all go to sleep now since some of you already are. I can't until you do, & I'm ready! Girls, to T's room & lock the door." They boys were partially in B's room & the living room.

Then off to bed. After a few, I hear the silly giggles of the girls. I sneak to the door to check it out. Well, MY girl was inching her way down the hall on her belly with a flashlight in hand to see if the boys were sleeping! They had decided they wanted to put make-up on the boys faces & draw on them while they were asleep. They weren't all out so that didn't work. Then I told T to stay in the room as I was dead & it's now after 4:00 am. I'm exhausted as, by now, I've had 3 hours of sleep since I got up for work Friday morning. It took a few more minutes but they finally all went out. I'd thought that after them playing games all day & being up early too, they wouldn't make it all night. Teens CAN do that!

What do I hear at 6:30 am? Girls giggling! I can't believe they're awake after only 2 1/2 hours!! Now, I have to drag myself out of bed. I was sleeping SO good.

Come to find out, they've already written on the boys with highlighters, etc & none of them knew it. They started by finishing "The Lion King". I fixed sausage biscuits for all & they're out again to play more basketball. Most of them left by noon, but a few stayed to go skating. I took them for a few hours.

I can't see by now & am so exhausted, my brain is mush. Um...that's not much worse than it normally is, but it was mashed mush now. I fixed hot dogs for dinner & made all kids go to bed early.

It was actually surprisingly a calm party for teens! I did have a great group of kids there, so I wasn't expecting any problems. Randy was pleasantly surprised too.

So, my kiddos loved their birthday weekend & all is great at the hollow home-front...that is, until the next surprise in my soap-opera life!

 Friday Funny!!!

TO MY DEAR WIFE:

During the past year I have tried to make love to you 365 times.

I have succeeded 36 times, which is an average of once every ten days.
The following is a list of why I did not succeed more often:
54 times the sheets were clean
17 times it was too late
49 times you were too tired
20 times it was too hot
15 times you pretended to be sleep
22 times you had a headache
17 times you were afraid of waking the baby
16 times you said you were too sore
12 times it was the wrong time of the month
19 times you had to get up early
9 times you said weren't in the mood
7 times you were sunburned
6 times you were watching the late show
5 times you didn't want to mess up your new hairdo
3 times you said the neighbors would hear us
9 times you said your mother would hear us

Of the 36 times I did succeed, the activity was not satisfactory because:

6 times you just lay there
8 times you reminded me there's a crack in the ceiling
4 times you told me to hurry up and get it over with
7 times I had to wake you and tell you I finished
1 time I was afraid I had hurt you because I felt you move

=====================================================

TO MY DEAR HUSBAND:

I think you have things a little confused. Here are the reasons you didn't get
more than you did:
5 times you came home drunk and tried to screw the cat
36 times you did not come home at all
21 times you didn't cum
33 times you came too soon
19 times you went soft before you got in
38 times you worked too late
10 times you got cramps in your toes
29 times you had to get up early to play golf
2 times you were in a fight and someone kicked you in the balls
4 times you got it stuck in your zipper
3 times you had a cold and your nose was running
2 times you had a splinter in your finger
20 times you lost the notion after thinking about it all day
6 times you came in your pajamas while reading a dirty book
98 times you were too busy watching TV
Of the times we did get together:
The reason I laid still was because you missed and were screwing the sheets.
I wasn't talking about the crack in the ceiling, what I said was, "Would you prefer me on
my back or kneeling?"
The time you felt me move was because you farted and I was trying to breathe.
