 Maniac Monday

Yesterday was such a hectic day. Both older kiddos had a game last night. I had to hurry from work, stop to get my son his poster board for a project, home to get the kids & rush to the gym. It was my turn to work the concession stand for the game before my kid's games started. That was 'fun'.

Tay's game was great! The girls won by a good many points & I was so proud. She's great in defense & is such an aggressive player when it comes to getting & keeping the ball! Shoot - SCORE! This team has beaten us before, so it was nice to have a win on our home turf.

B's game was close (as usual) & so fierce! Our boys won too, & it was a "stand on your feet" game! The ref called a foul on him, but it was HE who was fouled by the other team! There were several bad calls against us & fans were not happy. We did win, so that was great!

Then what? It's about 9:40pm & we have to go to Wal-Mart to get some items that they have to take today for 3 each of their classes. They send a toy, candy, gloves, etc for children that need something for Christmas. Also, B needs stuff to decorate his poster. Why didn't he get it before now? Because he's B! He was at this dad's all weekend & didn't get him to pick up anything for him. Let's wait until we get home & have mom do it at the last minute!

So, we're leaving Wally World at 10:30, sleepy Lulu (well ALL of us), no baths yet, Tay has to read for a test today, B has to study plus work on his project!

My little Lulu fell asleep & had to get her bath this morning. Tay read & went to bed. B...well he was still up at midnight working on his school stuff! I hate homework on game nights. It drives me, but that's life when you're kids are involved in sports.

On top of all of that, my phone kept ringing every 5 minutes or less!! B is like "tell __ to stop calling! I'm trying to sleep!!" I finally took it off the hook for a bit, but as soon as I put it back on, rrrriiiiiinnnggggggg. That finally stopped at 1:50am! Can someone say PEOPLE NEED SLEEP CUZ THEY HAVE TO GET UP IN 3 HOURS TO GET KIDS ON BUS & READY FOR WORK???

is me now with puffy/swollen eyes included. I NEED SO bad! I'm typing in my sleep as you read!

So...now I'm here at work - alone - with tons of stuff to do & I can't hardly see with my eyes burning so bad. Thank God practice is right after school & we'll all be home by 5:30. I want to be in bed sound asleep by 9 at the latest tonight! Is that too much to ask for???

 Real or Artificial Christmas tree?

'Opossum' Family Gets Artificial Tree

ENGLEWOOD, Pa. (AP) - A woman who hurled last year's Christmas tree out in the yard when an opossum popped out, scaring her teenage daughter, said the family will stick with an artificial tree this year. "My daughter's still afraid she'll look at the tree and see eyes looking back at her," Patricia A. O'Connor said. Though her husband, Michael, would like a real tree, she said, "We thought we'd give it one more year."

Daughter Mary Kathleen O'Connor was doing her homework by the tree a few days before Christmas 2005, when, she said at the time, "this head just popped up. ... I was thinking, 'Oh my God!' And I screamed."

The family came running, and called the state Game Commission. A wildlife conservation officer removed an 18-inch-long opossum and released it in the woods about five miles away.

So...is that twinkle in your tree lights...or the eyes of an opossum???

 Cure your kid's cussing problem???

Little Johnny had a cussing problem & his father was getting tired of it. He decided to ask his shrink what to do.

The shrink said, "Since Christmas is coming up, you should ask Johnny what he wants Santa to bring him. If he cusses while he tells you his wish list, leave a pile of dog poop in place of the gift or gifts he requests."

2 days before Christmas, Johnny's father asked him what he wanted for Christmas.

"I want a damn teddy-bear laying right beside me when I wake up. When I go downstairs I want to see a damn train going around the damn tree. And when I go outside I want to see a damn bike leaning up against the damn garage.

Christmas morning, Little Johnny woke up & rolled over into a pile of dog poop. Confused, he walked down stairs & saw another pile under the tree. Scratching his head, he walked outside and saw a huge pile of dog poop by the garage.

When Johnny walked back inside with a curious look on his face, his dad smiled & asked, "What did Santa bring you this year?"

"Johnny replied, "I think I got a dog but I can't find the son-of-a-bitch!"
