 Diets

A diet is a weigh of life.

It's not the minutes spent at the table that put on weight, it's the seconds.

It's something most of us do religiously: We eat what we want and pray we don't gain weight.

The problem with curbing our appetites is that most of us do it at the drive in window of McDonalds.

The most fattening thing you can put in an ice cream sundae is a spoon.

The biggest drawback to fasting for seven days is that it makes one weak.

Sweets are the destiny that shapes our ends.

Diets are for people who are thick and tired of it.

The toughest part of a diet isn't watching what you eat. It's watching what other people eat.

Diets are for women who not only kept their girlish figure bit doubled it.

A diet is when you have to go to some length to change your width.

Many women reduce and reduce, yet still never manage to become a bargain.

The best way to lose weight is by skipping ... snacks and desert.

Most people gain weight by having intimate dinners for two...alone.

People go to Weight Watchers to learn their lessens.

A diet is the modern-day meal in which a family counts its calories instead of its blessings.

A diet is what you go on when not only can't you fit into the store's dresses, you can't fit into the dressing room.

One guideline applies to fat and thin people alike: If you're thin, don't eat fast. If you're fat, don't eat - FAST.

Above all, dieters are advised to avoid Pepsi, "the pause that refleshes."

 Busy busy week here

*whew* I've already had a BIG day & it's only the am! It'll be like this most all week too.

B has basketball workouts at the school upper gym from 7:00am - 9:30am Mon, Tues & Thurs (every week 'til school starts back). I have to take him to school just before 7, so I was up early & ready for that. Then I had to get home to get the girls up so they could start.

Tay has basketball/softball workouts at the school upper gym Mon, Tues & Thurs 8:30am - 11:00am.

Alexis has Cheer Camp every day this week in the lower gym from 8:00am - 11:00am.

I had to leave (again) early to get both girls to the school by 7:50a (so I could get to work on time at 8:30. I work 30 minutes from home. The school is 8 minutes in the opposite direction.) I do have the girls a ride home from the school at 11 (thank God).

In addition to this, B also has Driver's Ed classes Mon, Tues & Thurs 1:15 - 2:50. So, I'll be taking my lunch break to go home (30 min) pick him up & take him to a different school where his class is & then back to work. I'll have to leave again about 2:30 so I can pick him up at 2:50. Today, he'll come back to work with me.

Tomorrow during all of this, I'll have to pick him up from Driver's Ed, go home to get the girls, & have Tay at her orthodontist appointment at 4:20 back up here near where I work.

It's a very hectic week for sure. Thank goodness Randy is off Thursday & he's going to be taking & picking up the kiddos for me. My bossman will prolly freak tomorrow when I don't return, but I have to take care of my kiddos.

Man, I'm tired now....

What do YOU have planned for the week? Anything exciting?

 Are YOU "Normal"?

You Are 50% Normal

While some of your behavior is quite normal...
Other things you do are downright strange
You've got a little of your freak going on
But you mostly keep your weirdness to yourself

I'll be heading straight to Tay's 6:00 game after work, then back to the complex for an 8:00 am game(s)/tournament tomorrow. It's supposed to be 98 all weekend!!

Hope you all have a great weekend!!

 How to stay young

1 Try everything twice. On Madams tombstone (of Whelan's and Madam) she said she wanted this epitaph: Tried everything twice...loved it both times!

2 Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down. (keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches;)

3. Keep learning: Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain get idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's!

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with HIM/HER.

6. The tears happen: Endure, grieve, and move on The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. LIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love: Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

11. Forgive now those who made you cry. You might not get a second time.

Lost time can never be found!
