Wow! I can't belive I haven't made a new post since Monday! I've been so busy with home, work, & taking the kids to & from basketball practices. We have a parent's meeting tonight for the boys & the girls teams after their practices. Then Tay has practice again at 7:00 AM tomorrow morning. Yep, so much for sleeping in at all on my Saturday morning! I'll be up earlier than I would for work. I'll drop her off & take B where he needs to be at 8:00. I'm not sure when she'll be finished, but I pick him up at noon. I know we'll also be going to the hospital to see my mother too about 3:00.

Last night, we FROZE at out the ballfield! They had a congrats party for the C-team football players & cheerleaders for winning 1st place in the playoffs. They grilled hot dogs, chips, drinks & cupcakes. Each child was presented with a "dog tag" type necklace thing with AYFL 2007 Playoff champs on one side, & Raiders with either a football or a pompom & megaphone on the other side. They were SO proud of themselves - & should be too!

I normally put up my Christmas decorations the weekend after Thanksgiving, but it looks like we just might start this weekend (when I can find time in between stuff!). The kids will all be home & we can do this as a family. Next weekend they'll be at their dad's from Friday - Sunday, so it would end up being me dragging everything out, decorating, & putting the stuff back away. It's a big job cuz I love to decorate! But I believe it should be a family affair. I'm really torn about it as I don't like it to overshadow Thanksgiving, but.... It appears that a LOT of people are decorating early this year.

YES!! Our little C-team football team had their last game Saturday for the Division Playoff Championship & WE WON! It was such a good game too. The team beat us in the regular season 6-0 but we got 'em this time 12-6. Our poor cheerleaders were over-cheered by the people in the stands during the 4th quarter, & most especially the last 4 minutes of the game! It was awesome! Most everyone went to the end of the field with less than a minute left & was screaming for our boys. Once the clock ran out we all ran out on the field to congratulate the team! The coach was talking to them afterwards & was crying. Now we have a big 1st place trophy to go in the trophy case at the school. This was a first for our Raiders!

The high school varsity team had their playoff game Friday night, but lost against Red Bay.

Now, we're about to begin basketball season. Practice has already started & the first game is in about a week or so. Both B & Tay play on our varsity teams. So, ball games will still proceed for us.

TGIF!! Yes, I'm SO happy it's Friday as it's been a loooong week.

Things with mother are still the same. It looks like she'll be moved to the new facility sometimes mid to end of next week. *sigh*

Today, B & Tay are checking out of school & heading to Red Bay for the varsity football playoff game with their dad & step-mom. This game is quite a ways away, so the students who check out for the game are excused since it's a school function. I won't be going, but I am proud of our team making it this far!

Tomorrow morning, Lulu will be cheering at her last game for this season. This is the last playoff game for the C-team & it is for the championship trophy! Good luck to our little boys!! I really hope we win this as they've worked really hard this year & have done such a great job. She'll still cheer at her big brother & sister's varsity basketball games tho. Basketball practice has started up & is going strong. The games will be starting in about 2 weeks.

After her game, Lulu will be going to her dad's for the rest of the weekend. I'll be heading to the hospital to visit with mother again. I hope there's a change for the good this time...

Randy is here again for the weekend & I rented "Georgia Rule" so he & I will be watching that Saturday night. I've been wanting to see it since it came out & have heard it is SO good!! (Don't tell me about it if you've seen it.) I'm not sure what we'll be doing the rest of the weekend, but I do know that Sunday we're going to work in the front flowerbed. Maybe we can take a drive somewhere & look at the beautiful fall scenery.

Timbaland - Apologize

Well, I've been toying around with changing my look for quite awhile & just couldn't find something I liked. I found this & do like the look so I just might stick with this for awhile. It will take some getting used to as I've had my pink angel background for many months.

Anyway, I hope you like it!!

I received a call today from mother's case worker at the hospital. It seems her doctor wants to move her to a different facility that is for longer term care. She doesn't appear to be making any progress where she is so far. I guess they'll make sure a bed is open & then she'll be transported to a different hospital very soon.

She was in this one last year for about 3 months so we're familiar with it. We assumed that this would happen, but it's about a 2 1/2 - 3 hour drive from my house. I was actually hoping they wouldn't move her this soon because we won't be able to visit her during the week anymore. She knows who we are when we come see her now, but the visits will be on weekends only once she's moved. I have no idea how long she'll be there.

I know she needs therapy as a stroke/seizure victim usually does. She is having some trouble feeding herself & will also need some speech therapy.
