I finally put some food out in my 5 bird feeders yesterday in hopes of my cardinals, blue birds & finches returning. I was overrun by squirrels that kept eating all of the bird food AND the feeders were getting chewed to pieces, so I stopped putting out food. The squirrels eventually went away, but so did my birds.

It the massive amounts of squirrels come back this year, I'm either gonna ship them off to HeatherScot, or get my sister's 22 after them. They destroyed my feeders & the large heavy plastic box that I kept the seed in.

Up until yesterday, all I've been seeing is plain ole woodpeckers. Yesterday morning, I saw one with a red head & then a black & white speckled one. My first Bluebird appeared too! I've only seen one cardinal so far. I've had the same 2 sets of Cardinals for years, but they disappeared this winter, for some reason.
Once it starts getting warmer, I get some Finch food for that feeder, & I'll fill up my Hummingbird feeders. Those are my favorites to watch!!
Can you tell I'm SO looking forward to spring??

Our softball season games officially begin tonight! It's usually pretty cold for the first part of the season as winter is still hanging around. We about froze to death Saturday afternoon out on the field for Lulu's tryouts. It was
supposed to be near 60 or so but it had dropped to 41 by the time we arrived at the ball field.
Lulu will begin practicing 2-3 days a week prolly this week. Her first game isn't until Fri/Mar 21st. Tay's first game is tonight. I'll hurry home from work, grab the other two rugrats, & head straight to the field.
I'm SO ready for me some good softball!!
